Iroko - Real wood veneer from Schorn & Groh

Iroko, often referred to as kambala, is one of the most widespread types of wood in Africa. The tree grows up to 45m high and reaches a diameter of 2m. The heartwood varies from gray to greenish-yellow, sometimes also brown. When exposed to light, the heartwood darkens, resulting in a golden-brown to dark olive-brown color with a matt sheen. Although iroko is neither related to nor superficially similar to oak or teak, it is often used as a substitute for these types of wood.
